Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani met Pakistan high commissioner to India Abdul Bashit in New Delhi on Monday.
Sources said that the meeting was called by Pakistan envoy to apprise the most senior separatist leader about the Indo-Pak talks.
Basit is expected to meet other separatist leaders in the coming days in New Delhi, they added.
Separatist leaders are also being invited for the Pakistan Day on March 23.
Pertinently, New Delhi had cancelled the Foreign Secretary level talks with Pakistan last year after the later met separatist leaders for “consultation”.
