SRINAGAR: Insha Mushtaq, the teenager who symbolized the tragedies of Kashmir’s pellet victims after she lost both her eyes in the unrest of 2016, has completed her matriculation examination. The only subject she is yet to appear is the music.

State Board of School Education had granted her permission to have an assistant for writing the papers. Hindustan Times that reported about her examination said the teenager was confidant that she will make it to the next class.

A resident of Sedow village in Shopian, Insha was hit y hundreds of pellets when she was trying to watch the protests on the main road. She was watching from her kitchen. After remaining admitted to SKIMS, she was flow to AIMS bt nobody cold help her. Chief Minister visited her in Delhi hopistal as well. Later Mrs Shabir Shah flew she and many others to outside but that also did not help her anyway. She is a complete blind girl now.

However, as Hindustan Times reported, Insha did not give up her studies. She was taught by two volunteer teachers at home. “Insha credits her two tuition teachers – Muzaffar Bhat and Naveed Mir – who have over the last year tutored her at her home,” Hindustan Times reported. “Bhat is an employee with an NGO called the National Association for the Blind whose vision is to empower and well-inform the visually challenged while Mir is a medical representative by profession, who took to teach Insha without any remuneration, since December last year.”
