Resident of Repora area of Lar in Ganderbal district on Saturday said tha they handed over six “suspected” braid choppers to police.

Sources said that local residents at Repora village of Lar teshil caught six suspected braid-choppers after they were roaming suspiciously in the area.

“They were moving suspiciously in the area and without any delay we informed police and handed them over to them,” they said.

SHO Lar told Kashmir Life that people without taking law and order into their own hands called the police immediately and handed them over.

“The detained people were in Lar to meet a girl and were not braid choppers and were from neighbouring Bandipora district,” he added.
