Police Thursday arrested a non-local drug peddler from old Srinagar city and recovered controlled drugs from his possession.
SP city North, Tahir Saleem told CNS that in charge Police Post Bagiyas Waseem Ahmad observed the suspicious movement of a non-state subject near Kaksarai Srinagar. “Upon frisking, police recovered 18 strips of controlled drug Alprozame 0.5 mg with total 270 tablets from his possession,” he said and identified the drug peddler as Mohsin Fareedi of Bijnor Uttar Pradesh presently residing in Chattabal area.
Police said that the arrested drug peddler who is working at a tea stall near Kak Sarai is reportedly selling controlled drugs to drug addicts.
