Sopore police on Monday has arrested three notorious drug peddlers during a Naka checking in Sopore town of district Baramulla.
The spokesman said that acting on a specific information, Sopore police have arrested three notorious drug peddlers along with a Santro car bearing registration number JK03-2660 680, capsules of Spasmoproxyvan and 24 bottles of Codeine Phosphate.
The drug peddlers were identified as Manzoor Ahmad Sofi, son of Bashir Ahmad Sofi, Muneer Ahmad Shah son of Mohammad Munwar Shah residents of Neharpora Sopore and Farhan Hameed Shah son of Abdul Hameed Shah, a resident of Noorbagh Sopore during a Naka checking near Dumna Complex Neharpora.
In this regard, a case FIR number 49/2018 under section 8/22 NDPS Act has been registered and the investigation has been taken up, police said.
