The Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday has arrested two timber smugglers and seized two tractors of illegal timber from their possession in Mattan area of Islamabad district.
Acting on a specific information two tractors bearing registration numbers JKO3/6779 and JK03F/ 4494 loaded with illegal timber were seized at Kehribal Mattan area of Islamabad.
The smugglers were identified as Ramiz Farooq Dar son of Farooq Ahmad Dar and Fasil Rashid Dar son of Abdul Rashid Dar, both residents of Brakpora village of Islamabad.
A case FIR number 03/2018 under section 379, 406, 407, 409, 109 and 06 Forest Act was registered in Police Station Mattan and further investigation has been taken up.
