The Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar, Abrar Choudhary, on receipt of a representation from a complainant regarding involvement of in-charge Police Station Warwan, ASI Mohd Shafi in corrupt practices has placed the him under suspension.
The Superintendent of Police has also ordered a departmental inquiry against the officer.
He issued instructions to all the territorial officers and those dealing with the public issues in the Police Stations and Police Posts of the district to abide by the law and refrain from all sorts of malpractice and indiscipline.
