SRINAGAR: Police said they have recovered a girl kidnapped by a person ident9fed by the family.
On October 3, 2017, police said Kokernag station received a written complaint from one person that his sister has been kidnapped by one person (name withheld). A case was registered and investigation set into motion.
During the course of investigation, various raids were conducted by Kokernag police headed by SHO Kokernag at different locations. After strenuous efforts, the girl was recovered from Anantnag Town at about 04:00 PM and the accused was arrested.
After completion of all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her family members.
A case FIR number 169/2017 under section 363, 109 RPC was registered against the accused in Police Station Kokernag and investigation was taken up.
