One youth was killed when CRPF opened fire on protesters in Srinagar’s Narbal area.

Reports said that early Saturday morning, severe clashes took place between youth and police in the area. The youth were protesting against the Tral killing.

Reports said that as youth resorted to stone pelting, CRPF opened fire, resulting death of a youth.

“Paramilitary forces resorted to firing in which the youth got killed,” reports said.

Identified as Suhail Ahmad Sofi son of Abdul Ahad Sofi, a tenth class student was hit by bullet. He was taken to JVC hospital where he was declared brought dead.

However, police spokesman told Kashmir Life that youth was hit in his leg and did not confirm the death.

Pertinently the call for shutdown was given by Hurriyat conference led by Syed Ali Geelani.

Syed Ali Geelani had called for a strike in the valley.
