Independent lawmaker and MLA Langate Er Rashed on Wednesday held a protest demonstration against the assault on Er Rasheed inside the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Tuesday.
The spokesman said protesters holding black flags and banners raising slogans condemned the hooliganism done by Assembly speaker and other members.
The protest march was started from Sher-I-Kashmir Park towards Lalchowk Srinagar, which was later stopped by the police near Pratap Park (Press Colony).
While talking to the media the spokesman condemned the incident and demanded an apology from the assembly speaker over the issue.
