Government on Sunday ordered appointment Rohit Kansal as the principal secretary to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
The 1995 IAS officer who is also Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department has been given additional charge as Principal Secretary.
This was stated by government on Sunday in GAD order (562).
“In the interest of administration, Mr. Rohit Kansal, IAS (JK:1995), Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department shall hold the charge of the post of Principal Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister, in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” the order reads.
The order further mentions that, “he will also hold the charge of the posts of Administrative Secretary Hospitality & Protocol, Civil Aviation and Estates Departments.”
