J&K Police is going to organize the Kashmir Marathon “Run for Fun” from Police Golf Course to Ganderbal via Foreshore and back on the same route on 2nd October, 2013 in which huge number of senior citizens, families and students are participating. To make the mega event successful, Traffic Police City Srinagar shall make the Boulevard and Foreshore road upto Pandach crossing free from traffic movement, on the said date from 0600 hours.
Giving details SP Traffic added that all type of vehicles except visiting dignitaries shall be diverted at Ram Munshi Bagh towards Dalgate. All sort of vehicular movement except tourist vehicles shall be diverted at Badyari towards Khanyar to reach to their destinations. The tourist vehicles shall only be allowed up to Nehru Park. No vehicle except visiting dignitaries will be allowed at Grand Lalit Boulevard road towards SKICC. All types of vehicles coming from Shalimar-Harwan shall be diverted at Shalimar crossing towards Tailbal to reach to their destinations. All the passenger/ LMV’s shall be diverted at Hazaratbal towards Lalbazar to reach to their destinations. No vehicle coming from Ganderbal towards Pandach shall be allowed to ply on Pandach Zakoora route. The vehicles coming from Duck park, Shalimar crossing and Tailbal crossing and its adjacent areas shall not be allowed to ply towards Nishat Foreshore route and these vehicles shall be diverted towards Tailbal to reach to their destinations.
