As Saturday morning broke the news that top HM commander Sabzar Ahmad Bhat alias Abu Zarar is trapped along with his two aides in Saimu Tral, Kashmir Life’s Bilal Bahadur reached nearer to the spot to capture the images of blazing guns, mortars and finally the blood stains.

 

Panic gripped south Kashmir’s Saimu Tral Friday evening when few gun shots were heard. DGP S.P.Vaid confirming the incident tweeted “encounter started at Saimu Tral district #Awantipur. Reportedly 3 terrorists trapped.”

Saturday morning, the news coming from Saimu Tral was that the joint group of police and army along with para commandoes have cordoned off the area and three militants have been trapped including Sabzar Ahmad Bhat.

Sabzar, a close associate of Burhan Wani was later confirmed to have been killed along with his aide Faizan Ahmad. Sabzar carried a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head and was at the top of the wanted list.

The blood spilled inside is coming out from the beneath of gate.  A native of Ratsuna village of Tral, Sabzar succeeded Burhan for few days after his killing in July 2016.

As forces did not allow to move closer and see the dead bodies of militants, a shoe of Sabzar is being seen in picture with blood stains.

As the news of encounter and death of Sabzar spread, people started coming out of their homes to protest. The spontaneous shutdown was observed in entire Kashmir.
