A complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir on Wednesday against the alleged custodial killing of a teacher in police custody in Srinagar.

All shops and other business establishments are closed in the valley and traffic is of the roads. In wake of the prevailing situation, the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has also cancelled the exams scheduled today.

Rizwan Ahmad, a resident of Awantipora area of Pulwama district was allegedly killed in police custody during the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday.

Fearing the untoward incidents, the authorities have also suspended the internet services in different parts of the valley.
