Srinagar

Former Union minister and senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha Wednesday arrived in Kashmir on a three-day tour during which he said he will be meeting a “cross-section of people”.

Sinha will stay in Kashmir till August 19. “I will be going out of Srinagar and meeting people,” he said.

Asked whether he will be meeting separatist leaders, he said, “I can only say that I will be meeting a whole lot of people in north, south and other parts of Kashmir.”

The senior BJP leader said that his visit is “an extension, nothing else, to his previous visits to Kashmir”.

Sinha has visited Kashmir, along with a five-member group, four times since last year. The group had also submitted its report, regarding their visits, to the Union home ministry.
