A fresh spell of rainfall lashed the plains of Jammu and Kashmir while the higher reaches received moderate snowfall on Saturday.

An official from the met department said that inclement weather is likely to continue during the next 24 hours.

The minimum temperature on Saturday in Srinagar city recorded 4.5, Pahalgam 2.3 and Gulmarg minus 3.5 degree Celsius temperature.

Jammu city recorded 3.3, Katra 0.9, Batote and Bannihal both minus 2.3, Bhaderwa minus 0.7 and Udhampur 11.7 as the minimum temperatures on Friday.

Leh town recorded minus 2.5 and Kargil minus 5.2 degree Celsius as the lowest temperatures on Friday.
