The air traffic to and fro Srinagar International Airport was affected Tuesday due to snowfall.

Airport Authorities at Srinagar Airport announced the delay of multiple flights to and from Srinagar after bad weather lowered visibility on the runway.

The delay has led to inconvenience and passengers are unsure about the resumption of flights.

“I am inside the plane for the past two hours. We boarded amidst snowfall. There are announcements of low visibility. The officials are saying that there will be more delay,” Tabish Mir, a passenger from inside the plane told Kashmir Life over phone.

Another caller from Chandigarh said that his flight to Srinagar has been delayed thrice since morning and the recent announcement said the takeoff is expected at around 3:00 pm.

Snowfall started across many parts of Kashmir this morning throwing normal life into disarray.

Meanwhile director MeT department told Kashmir Life that light moderate snowfall is expected from tomorrow across many parts of Kashmir.
