Srinagar
Militants on Monday night opened fire on a police Bunker at Tengpora bypass in summer capital Srinagar, news agency ANI reported.
After the attack, the militants have managed to flee from the spot.
No one was hurt in the attack, initial reports suggest.
The attack comes just hours after India is going to celebrate Independence Day.
Meanwhile, security in Kashmir valley was already beefed up over the threats of militant attack.
Reports said that additional forces have been rushed to the spot and search operation has been launched in the area.
