Terming the elevation of Tasaduq Mufti as another failed attempt by the party to regain its lost ground, J&K largest opposition party National Conference said that PDP founder’s son is alien to Kashmir’s political landscape.

“He knows nothing and cares for nothing in Kashmir. He doesn’t even know the names of the constituencies in Kashmir but PDP hopes that his induction would resurrect it once again. The fact is that the PDP is living in fool’s paradise as it has been eroded at the time when it stitched an alliance with the fanatic BJP,” said NC’s provincial president for Kashmir, Nasir Aslam Wani.

He added that individuals like Tasaduq wouldn’t steer PDP’s sinking ship the shores as people are fully aware of what this government has done for them. “Tell me a single pro-people measure taken by this government. It only believes the political rhetoric and giving farce hopes. One fails to understand why PDP believes that Tasaduq who has never lived in Kashmir and doesn’t even know his party, would change PDP’s fate,” Nasir said.
