Srinagar

Train service resumed on Monday after remaining suspended for two days due to security reasons in the Kashmir valley, after the resistance leadership had called for a general strike against the killing of militants and Cordoned and Search Operation (CASO).

“We have resumed train service in the Kashmir valley today,” a senior railway official said.

He said that the service was suspended on Saturday and Sunday following directions from the administration and police for security reasons.
