After US declared Sayed Salahuddin, Hizbul Mujahideen chief, as a global terrorist, just before the maiden face-to-face meeting between PM Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump, former Pakistan cricket team captain and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chairperson Imran Khan has reacted on the issue.

Terming that American president Donald Trump is “siding with oppressor,” Khan expressed his views on social media in a series of tweets.

“By trying to lump indigenous Kashmiri freedom struggle as terrorism Trump siding with oppressor India as US supports oppressor in Palestine,” he said quoting his earlier Tweet.

In the earlier tweet he said, “Trump-Modi statement has removed fig leaf of morality & justice in US foreign policy which is now only based on arms sales & financial gains.”

Modi and Trump met on Tuesday at White House and gave a joint statement about the meet.

“The leaders called on Pakistan to ensure that its territory is not used to launch terrorist attacks on other countries. They further called on Pakistan to expeditiously bring to justice the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai, Pathankot, and other cross-border terrorist attacks perpetrated by Pakistan-based groups,” the Indo-US joint statement said.
