Two HM OGWs held for murdering Sarpanch’s father: Police

Awantipora police has arrested two HM OGW’s involved in the killing of 85 years old Ghulam Mohammad, father of Dugripora Sarpanch, a police statement said.

“2 HM OGW’s , Ishfaq Ahmed Dar son of Abdul Hameed and Lateef Ahmed Dar son of Ghulam Hassan residents of Dugripora involved in the killing of 85 years old Ghulam Mohammad, father of Dugripora Sarpanch on 8^th March were arrested,” police said.

“The duo alongwith a local HM militant Riyaz Naikoo killed the old aged Haji Ghulam Mohammad Dar when he was coming out of Masjid after offering Isha prayers,” the police statement added.

It furtrher said that a Chinese pistol used in the murder along with magazine and 7 live rounds was recovered from their possession.

Police has launched manhunt to nab the HM militant Riyaz Naikoo.
