Opposition National Conference and Congress legislators on Saturday expressed the concern over the violence against Kashmir student in Mehandranagar Haryana state.

As soon as the proceedings of the house started entire opposition members stood up from their seats informed that the students of Kashmir and raised the issue of students who were beaten by some people.

MLA Khanyar Ali Mohammad Sagar said that it is very unfortunate that every time Kashmiri Students were beaten outside the state.

He said the government is failed to protect the students of Kashmir who study outside the state.

“It is extremely sad that our students who are our future have to go through mental distress and physical subjugation. Such heinous criminality will only create a wedge and further alienate the youth of Kashmir from the rest of country,” said Sagar.

MLA Pahalgam Altaf Kaloo raised the issue of arrest of SKUAST student in Bhopal.

He has urged the state government to take up the matter with concern authorities of other states and ensure the safety of the Kashmiri students.

Minister for parliamentary affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri said that Two students from Jammu and Kashmir were thrashed allegedly by nearly 15 people last evening in Haryana’s Mahendragarh. The police have arrested three of them and identified three more persons.

He added that government has taken the issue strictly the Haryana government and strict action will be taken against miscreants.

He added that the student of SKUAST who was arrested in Bhopal has released.
