Jammu and Kashmir education minister Syed Altaf Bukhari on Saturday reacted over Army Chiefs controversial statement regarding teaching two maps and flags in the schools of the state.

The minister was talking to media persons at the inauguration of CM’s Super 50 Civil Services coaching classes at Kothibagh Higher Secondary School.

The army chiefs recent statement has already invited massive political reactions across the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

“The army chief is a well-respected and decorated officer. He is a professional and I have no doubt about his professionalism. But I don’t think He is an educationist that he will give sermons on education. I don’t think my society accepts these sermons on education from non-educationists. But I would welcome the sermons from educationist that how to run the education system,” said Bukhari while talking to reports.

“Education is in the domain of the state, we know how to run it. I would be glad that if they will do what they are supposed to do and leave us to do what we are supposed to do. Our Chief Minister is capable enough to take decisions regarding the improvement of education department” he added.
