There was some respite for residents of Kashmir from intense cold as the minimum temperature raised by several degrees at most places in the valley and Ladakh region. There was a considerable improvement in the minimum temperature in the valley and Ladakh region on Sunday night.

The MeT office has said that there would be further improvement in the weather during the next 24 hours

The minimum temperature in Srinagar was minus 1.6 while it was minus 5.5 in Pahalgam and minus 06.0 in Gulmarg, the coldest in the valley.

Leh town of Ladakh region recorded minus 10.05 while Kargil recorded minus 10 as the minimum temperatures.

Jammu recorded 8.7, Katra 10.4, Batote 5.6, Banihal 3.2, Bhaderwah 2.3 and Udhampur 5.5 as the night’s lowest temperatures.
