The former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah while reacting to the internet ban in Jammu and Kashmir expressed his displeasure saying, “we are totally disconnected”.

“The irony of listening to Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi lecturing about connected digital India while we are totally disconnected,” Omar said.

The government ordered ban on internet services since early Friday when Kashmir was set to celebrate Eid-al-Azha up to 10:00 pm next day. However, the ban on mobile internet services was extended up to Monday morning while police have said broad band internet shall resume at 8 this late evening.

“The PDP-BJP regime is pushing people of the state to the wall,” he said.
