SRINAGAR: Locals on Friday recovered the body of a resident from a deserted place. A resident of Gadoora in Pulwama, he was recovered from Newa outskirts, reports said.
Identified as Mohammad Yousuf Lone, he was missing since Thursday morning.
Police have registered a case and started investigations. They say they have information that Lone, a young man, was considered close to militants.
But the residents are protesting against the killing. Nobody has so far claimed the responsibility for killing Lone. This may even mark the return of “unknown gunman” to Kashmir. Locals said Lone carries two bullets on his body.
