JAMMU: In a clash with police on Saturday, a youth from south Kashmir’s Pulwama district sustained pellet injuries in his eye.

Local sources said Pulwama village is witnessing tensions around this time as massive protests erupted after counter insurgency grid  launched a cardon and search operation and resorted to shelling to disperse the protestors.

Amir Shabir Bhat, a resident of Chewa Village of Pulwama was hit by a pellet in his eye.He was shifted to a hospital for treatment.

The region is already tense because of two killings by the army in Ganpora village near Balpora Shopian.

Clashes were going on when last reports came.
