Rubbishing the claims of Minister for Higher Education that police is adopting dilly-dallying tactics in Markundal Killings, Congress leader and son of former Ikhwani commander Kuka Parrey Thursday said that it was Mohammad Akbar Lone who give clean chit to the alleged killers involved in the killing of two youth at Markundal area of Bandipora District.
“The claims of Lone are false and fabricated. The reality is that Lone has become the biggest obstacle in police investigation and he left no stone unturned to save the Markundal killers,” Imtiyaz Ahmed Parry told CNS adding that at the time of killing of two youth Lone had claimed that youth were killed because of the personal animosity.
“How can he claim now that Police has failed to book the Markundal killers when he himself went on saying on record that Markundal youth became prey of personal animosity,” he said.
Parrey further said that Lone should remember that his existence in Sonawari constituency is because of his lat father Kuka Parrey. “Did he (Lone) forget how my father saved from the wrath of the public when he was found indulging in the exploitation of an innocent lady. It was my father who provided shelter to Lone and saved him and today he tries to become a ‘lion’ by issuing misleading statements,” Imatyaz said.
He said people of Sonawari are well aware about the shortcomings of Mohammad Akbar Lone and he can’t befool people anymore.
