SRINAGAR

The bodies of two persons who drowned in Srinagar were fished out, police said on Friday.

The police spokesperson said that Srinagar police fished out the body of an unidentified person who was drowned in Tsunfi Kohl near Gow Kadal on May 15, 2013. The deceased was later identified as 38 years old, Sajad Ahmad Kanna son of Noor Mohammad resident of MR Gunj, Srinagar. The body of deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.

Meanwhile, the body of Ishtiyaq Ahmad Najar, about 25 years son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Reshi colony, Bemina drowned in Dal Lake near Nehru Park while bathing. The body was fished out later and handed over to his next of kins for last rites.
