Thousands of people on Thursday participated in funeral prayers of slain Lashkar-e- Toiba commander Irfan Ahmad Sheikh in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

An eyewitness said that despite snow thousands including women and children reached village Chakoora and participated in the funeral prayers of slain militant commander.

Pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans were raised by the mourners as the body was marched towards the local graveyard.

Irfan was killed in a brief gunfight with the forces in Chakoora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.

  1. No point going to the Janaza of the Militant. Save him whilst he is Alive by putting some sense in these foolish boys to give up arms. Where are mehboobs & abdulas? Only the poor old Parents will suffer and suffer till they are alive.
    The Valley is an integral part of India. Earlier these people understand, better for them. India has nothing to lose except some foolish militants. That’s fine! Give up the gun and live.
