Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar Saturday launched Chief Minister’s Super-50 Free Winter Tutorial initiative for students as well as medical and engineering aspirants of Jammu and Kashmir.

The initiative is a comprehensive free tuition program for 10th and 12th class students of Jammu and Kashmir who will be tutored by top faculty drawn from the State Government’s Education Department, an official statement said this evening.

“The free winter tutorials will be run by the best brains of J&K who will get incentives based on their performance. The students will have to pay nominal heating charges but they will get free study material, DPP sheets and assignments,” Akhtar said while launching the initiative at the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir here.

Under the initiative, the Education Department will also provide free coaching for state-level medical and engineering entrance examinations and national-level competitive examinations like JKCET, AIIMS, AMU and IIT mains. However, the aspirants will have to qualify a screening test first.

“Guest lectures will be arranged by faculty from higher education department, medicos, professionals and IITians with regular counselling sessions and test series to check the progress of the students,” Shah Faesal, Director, School Education, Kashmir said.

The coaching can be availed by pass-outs of ninth, eleventh and twelfth class students.

The application forms are available on the website of Directorate of School Education Kashmir (www.dsek.nic.in), Chief Education Offices and all Higher Secondary Schools of the state from December 8-15.

Students who want to avail the benefit of the scheme should submit filled in forms at their respective higher secondary schools or mail them to [email protected] day December 15.

  1. I request the responsible authorities to plz include Arts stream as well it is a kind of discrimination
    Morever arts stream students are mostly from poor background and most of bureaucratic class at national from jk is from same stream it really important to include arts in super 50 to make it successfull otherwise it is big policy without future

It is real that the government of j&k only thinking about medical &non-medical students.the new rule of jk government is good but they selects only medical&non-medical students but not for the arts students. We humble requist the government of jk when you lanched new rules then rule for all students.
