Police and CRPF are detaining every biker in Kake Sarai, Karanagar Srinagar area and so far nearly 300 bikes have been detained.
One eyewitness alleged, “Police first detains bikers, takes them to nearby police stations where they are asked for money and then police let them go”.
Police have apprehensions that bikers ‘create trouble’. One police officer on spot confirmed that they are stopping bikers and then they take them to nearby police stations.
A Police officer told Kashmir Life, “It is a drive against the bikers who are not having proper papers; it is because these vehicles are being seized.”
