Conglomerate of militant outfits, United Jihad Council, Thursday said that religious statements and passing of resolutions with regard to Kashmir are not going to affect India.

Addressing a pro-Kashmir rally in Muzaffarabad, UJC Chairperson Syed Salahuddin said that Kashmir needs the “support of Pakistan leadership and Pakistan must provide this support to them”.

In order to express solidarity with the people of Indian Kashmir, a rally was organized by leaders of Pakistan administered Kashmir that was addressed by Syed Sallahuddin and others at Ghadipan Chowk.

As per a statement issued to news agency CNS, Syed Salahuddin “warned that if oppressive and repressive tactics are not stopped in Indian held Kashmir and if International Community continues to act as mute spectators then will forward the call to cross the Line of Control”.

“Kashmir has been reeling under curfew from last 34 days, the death toll has crossed 60, people are dying of hunger and lack of essential commodities and baby food has been taking a heavy toll on the people of Kashmir. The criminal silence maintained by international community is surprising and pitiable,” he said.

He said that the present Kashmir situation represents and reflects the sentiments of Kashmiri youth.

“The statements made by Omar Abdullah are hollow. He should join the militant ranks. Mehbooba Mufti should learn a lesson from the death of her father whose graveyard is being guarded by more than 25 security personnel,” he said and added people of Kashmir “in present circumstances badly need the help from Pakistan”.

While lauding the role of Burhan Wani, the UJC chief said that Burhan was “a true picture of Kashmiri sentiments”.

The rally was addressed by Jama’at-ud-Dawa Kashmir Chapter Ameer Maulana Abdul Aziz Alvi, President Pasban Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir Aziz Ahmed Ghazali, Vice-Chairperson International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Mushtaq-ul Islam, District president Jama’at-e-Islami Qazi Shahid Hamid, Director Kashmir Liberation Cell Raja Sajad Latif and others.
