Hurriyat Conference (M) Sunday warned that they would launch an agitation against the fake drug scam in Jammu and Kashmir after Eid-ul-Fitar if government fails to bring the culprits to the book.
Talking to KNS Hurriyat (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said, “Not only drugs but most of the edible items supplied to Kashmir are adulterated and it seems it is a deliberate ploy of government of India. Adulteration is at its peak in Kashmir.”
Questioning the credibility of the probe ordered by the government in fake drugs, he said, “How can those who are themselves involved in the scam probe it?”
Warning that Hurriyat (M) would launch an agitation against the issue after Eid, he said, “I appeal the nation to remain cautious on such issues. Our future generations are being fed with adulterated things which should be a concern for all of us.”
Drug and other social issues are in present in all societies around world and in conflict zones it needs its resolution.
