Fire broke out in Oasis Public High School, Gogji Bagh, Srinagar Thursday morning resulting in damage to one of the school buildings, however all the children and school staff members were safe.

School sources told Kashmir Life that as the children were busy preparing their answer papers, flames appeared in one of the buildings followed by a bang.

Although the cause of fire is being ascertained by fire and emergency service men, sources revealed that fire apparently caused due to LPG leakage.

The fire and emergency sources said that three fire tenders reached the spot adding the fire has been brought under control.

As the news reached to the parents they rushed to the school amid chaos. The tension increased manifold due to massive traffic jam in the area as everybody wanted to reach the spot and know about his ward.
