Continuing with its efforts of stream lining traffic scenario  of J&K, traffic department Thursday seized dozens of vehicles, recovered fine worth Rs 150000 and 475 drivers were challaned in parts of North Kashmir.

SP Traffic Rural Shailendra Mishra said that dozens of vehicles were seized who were plying on roads without necessary documents.

“During the checking campaign organized by J&K traffic police throughout the state, today we seized dozens of vehicles in North Kashmir which were without papers, including a Bolero of MLA Baramulla Javed Hassan Beigh. The vehicle was without documents and even the driver of MLA’s vehicle was without license. The checking program was for the better enforcement of Traffic regulations and a drive to reduce accidents,” he told The Varmul Post.

While commenting on the issue MLA Baramulla Javed Hassan Beigh said, “it is the vehicle which is provided to me by the government and I cannot do anything in this regard neither can I comment.”
