The authorities have imposed curfew in the Kashmir Valley in the wake of the protests against the Gool killings. Meanwhile, the Ramban Collector has been transferred.

Many civilians were killed in firing by Border Security Forces (BSF) personnel in Gool area of the Ramban district on Thursday morning.

According to reports BSF troopers fired upon the peaceful protesters who were protesting against the alleged manhandling of a local Imam and desecration of Quran and a mosque.

The valley Kashmir is on boil against the second incident of civilian killings by security forces in less than three weeks. Two people were killed in Bandipore district in north Kashmir reportedly during Army firing.

Meanwhile, Srinagar-Jammu highway has been closed and Amarnath Yatra halted on Friday.

The reports of restrictions have reached from all the district headquarters and major towns of Kashmir. People calling KL said that their movement is being restricted and even the patients are not being allowed to reach to doctors.

  1. Nothing new. Kashmir is reeling under the atrocities and torture of government and security forces especially on peaceful civilians for the last 23 years. who will blame whom. It is just like two criminals calling each other “too mara haji bego mun tura haji begoyam” and within themselves they know in how much water they are.
