Legislator and National Conference leader Aga Syed Roohullah Saturday said socio-religious organization Jamaat-e-Islami helped Mufti Muhammad Syed to become the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing National Conference supporters at Regal Chowk, Roohullah said that Jamat-e-Islami supporters openly cast their votes in favour of Peoples Democratic Party.

“These people (JeI) boycotted every election but in 2014, they openly cast their votes in favour of PDP. The Jamaat’s only aim was to defeat NC and to install Mufti Muhammad Sayeed as the Chief Minister of the State,” he said.

  1. it’s true. I have witnessed it myself, that a jamaat worker telling another simple man to caste vote in favour of PDP. They have ruined Kashmir in the name of boycott. They tell something but themselves do the opposite. Gumraah jamaat.
