JAMMU: Srinagar born TV actress Hina Khan who reached the finals of the reality TV show, the Bigg Boss, has lost to Shilpa Shinde. The final round of the serial was telecast on Sunday.
In the reality’s shows, Season 11, Ms Khan emerged as runner up. It had 19 contestants from the start.
Khan, 30, joined the show as a celebrity and reached the No 2 position. Born in Srinagar to an extensive old-fashioned Pashtun family. They are a nuclear family comprising her brother Aamir and her parents. Aamir khan runs a travel agency company.
“If not an actor, we might have seen Hina as a journalist or an air hostess. Hina had even got selected for the air hostess training in Mumbai; unfortunately, she was bedridden with malaria during the training period,” Indian Express reported about her and the show.
Hina completed her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2009 from CCA School of Management in Gurgaon before taking up her debut role on Television. It was on the sets of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ where she met her rumoured boyfriend Rocky, who then worked as a supervising producer.
Hina is an Indian television actress and singer. She played the role of Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Khan is one of the highest earning television actress.
Khan began her profession in the showbiz industry as a guest appearance on the soap opera Kayamath during 2009. After that, she showed up as a guest on two hit reality shows Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai and Chand Chupa Badal Mein.
Once again in this year, Hina will appear as a Guest in Chef Pankaj Ka Zayka, a popular cooking show. Hina wonderfully conducted in those shows.
After broadcasting the drama on Star Plus since 2009, it began to get a large reputation, and the viewers greatly adore Hina’s acting and performance till date. This is a long-running serial, which already has completed 1800, plus periods.
Hina’s met Rocky Jaiswal executive producer of the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and they fell in love with each other. Rocky visited her twice during the Big Boss season 11.
Bigg Boss is a reality show based on the original Dutch Big Brother format developed by John de Mol. A number of contestants, “housemates”, live in a purpose-built house and are isolated from the rest of the world. Each week, housemates nominate two of their peers for eviction, and the housemates who receive the most nominations would face a public vote. Of these, one would eventually leave, having been “evicted” from the House.
However, there were exceptions to this process as dictated by Bigg Boss. In the final week, there were three housemates remaining, and the public voted for their favourites. The housemates in the Indian version are primarily celebrities with the exception of one who is a non-celebrity selected via auditions. Housemates are overseen by invisible ‘Bigg Boss’, whose only presence in the house is through his voice.

A Bigg Boss House is built for every season. The house was earlier located in the tourist place of Lonavla, Pune district of Maharashtra. For the fifth season, it was located ND Studios in Karjat.
For her acting skills, Hina received many awards. She got popularity extremely right from the beginning of her profession by playing the role of Akshara. This character in in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai won her many awards.
Hina was called the most famous face in the season of Bigg Boss 11. While there were only six celebrities in Bigg Boss 11, Hina was the only celebrity with most fan following. Hina has more than 2 million followers on Facebook and two lakh followers on micro blogger site Twitter.
