SRINAGAR: Haji Gull Mohammad Shah, grandfather of Kashmir Life reporter, Syed Samreen passed away on Saturday afternoon. He was 98.
A resident of Pahloo Peerpora village of Kulgam district, he passed away at his son’s residence in Peerbagh area of Srinagar
Shah, the family said was not keeping well for some time.
Earlier this month, the deceased was tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalised. Later on July 23, he was tested again and came out as negative.
The body was taken to his home in south Kashmir where it was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Peerpora village of Kulgam.
Shah is survived by a daughter, and six sons including Dr Syed Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Professor GMC Srinagar.
