After being selected in the squad of Indian cricket team for the upcoming series in Zimbabwe, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah Friday asked cricketer Parvez Rasool to make the state proud. The spinner became the first player from Jammu and Kashmir to get a place in the Indian squad.
“Have heard the great news about Parvez Rasool being selected to play for India against Zimbabwe. Well deserved selection. Make us proud now,” Abdullah tweeted.
Rasool is jubilant over his selection in the team. “I am feeling very happy…I really worked hard for this,” Rasool told media.
The series will start from July 24. India will play five ODI matches against Zimbabwe
