Omar AbdullahAs the militant ambush on Army convoy killed five of its personnel, as per the latest reports, on the outskirts of Srinagar on Monday, tech savvy Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed his condemnation on Twitter.

“Just spoke to the Corps Commander 15th Corps to express my condolence for the loss of the of the 4 army men in the attack today,” Omar wrote on micro-blogging site.

Pertinently, attack on Army came at the onset of another high profile visit of Indian Prime Minsiter, Dr Manmohan Singh who is scheduled to visit the Valley on June 26.

“Such high profile attacks are aimed at restoring the shattered morale of the militants while trying to demoralise the security forces,” Omar’s one more tweet reads.
