After Wednesday’s clashes which led to death of a cop and injuring many others, North Kashmir’s Palhalan area was Wednesday evening put under ‘curfew’.

According to locals who live nearby the area told Kashmir Life that the residents of Palhalan which they claim are nearly 400 households  have left their homes and shifted to other places where they spent their night and are still not able to move to their places

They added that ‘undeclared curfew’ and  ‘shoot at sight’ orders are in place. Referring to a person who tried to reach his village in morning, the locals alleged that policemen aimed gun at him and even cocked their rifles. “He escaped miraculously,” they said.

According to reports, there has been no stone pelting in the area since morning.
