Renowned journalist, Parvaiz Bukhari joined international news agency, Agence France- Presse (AFP) on Monday as its Kashmir correspondent.
Bukhari, a well known name in the Journalist fraternity of Kashmir, has worked with a number of reputed media outlets to report Kashmir. He has also covered wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bukhari has previously been associated with the weekly ‘Kashmir Life’ as its editor.
Bukhari succeeds longtime AFP hand in Kashmir, Izhar Wani, who passed away last year.
Reputed journalist Yusuf Jameel tweeted Sunday night: “Izhar, be happy. Your legacy has moved into safe hands…am at ease.”
