One National Conference (NC) member was injured in a scuffle with marshalls when the opposition NC protested against refusal of GoI to transfer power projects under by the NHPC in the assembly on Friday.

The house was adjourned after former chief minister Omar Abdullah led the protesting members who came in the well.

“Your CMP (Common Minimum Programme) says return of power projects; Governor’s address also says the same. This deceit won’t do,” Omar asked the BJP-PDP coalition government.

Congress legislators also joined the NC in the protest, following which the Speaker Kavinder Gupta adjourned the house.

Later, when the house resumed, NC members again started protesting on the issue after coming in the well resulting their scuffle with marshalls.

Abdul Majid Bhat, MLA Homshalibugh, received minor injuries on his arm during the scuffle who was immediately provided medical aid.

Meanwhile, the upper house was also adjourned two times as opposition continued its protests over New Delhi’s refusal to transfer power projects to the state.

  1. PDP-BJP coalition has proved that its patch up was for selling our aspirations to delhi darbar. Mr. naeem akhtar had said that if they patch up with other parties they wont get what they promised to enslaved people.
    Now what they got after modi-mufti hug is a big noiseless “CHAPAAT”.
