In its damage control mission the state government is going to issue passes to the locals desiring to visit Pahalgam and Sonmarg tourist spots. The Department of Tourism Kashmir has started an on spot permission at Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) Srinagar.

Last week the Directorate of School Education Kashmir banned students’ excursion to picnic resorts of Pahalgam and Sonmarg. Later they revoked their order after widespread criticism but the state government has asked the School Education Department to come up with a detailed report on why and how students were banned to go to such places.

As per a statement the tourists and locals other than Shri Amarnath Ji Yatries who are willing to visit to these places for a day trip on any day have been advised by the statement government to approach to the Tourism Department, J&K for obtaining the permission in order to avoid any inconvenience to them.
