Unexplained Killings USP Of NC: Mehbooba

Strongly condemning the killing of Kifayat Hussain Mir in Sopore by unknown gunmen, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday said senseless killings only result in tragedies.

She lamented that such unfortunate killings were direct result of the derailing of reconciliatory process. “Prevailing insecurity, fear and lawlessness is because of the wrong policies of government,” she observed.

According to local news agency GNS, Mehbooba said unexplained killings have become Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of the National Conference since the year 1996. She said the present rulers have miserably failed to protect the lives of people.

“By splashing more and more blood on ground we won’t achieve anything. Only number of orphans, widows and wailing parents gets increased and that is an unfortunate trend,” she said.

Expressing her heartfelt solidarity with the bereaved family PDP president demanded a thorough probe to bring to book the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
