Zubin Mehta Show; ‘A Blessing In Disguise’

International especially Western media arrived in Kashmir to cover the musical concert of Zubin Mehta were seen making rounds of Syed Ali Geelani’s residence on Friday.

All were seen busy interviewing Geelani and most of them were shocked to learn about the continuous house detention of Geelani. Hurriyat Spokesperson Ayaz Akbar told CNS that it is really a blessing in disguise. He said that the ball thrown to the wall by India is coming back to them in rebound form. “At least Geelani sahab was able to present his view point. Geelani Sahab had a detailed conversation with them and he presented the facts about Kashmir in an eloquent way,” he said.

Ayaz Akbar said that India had mislead the International media about Kashmir situation while Geelani made them aware about the realities of Kashmir.

Most of the reporters after the interview session were of the view that Zubin Mehta’s concert would prove a ‘blessing in disguise for Kashmiri Movement’.

“One of the reporters in fact said that Kashmir has once again been in lime light due to the Zubin Mehta’s musical concert,” Ayaz Akbar said.
