SRINAGAR: Joint forces Thursday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition during a search operation in the Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The police said that acting on specific information a search operation was launched by joint forces including army, police, and para-military forces in the forest area of Andernard Gagal.
During the search operation 8 hand grenades, 2 AK 47 magazines and 199 rounds, and an RPG shell were recovered.
The police said that the recovered arms and ammunition were hidden by militant associates to carry out militant attacks in Lolab area.(KNT)
